British Jewellery Week to preview at Treasure

Since announcing the British Jewellery Week project some months ago, we now have some exciting developments to announce.

First, we will be previewing some of the pieces that will be on show and on sale during British Jewellery Week at the Treasure exhibition, which will take place from 11th to 13th June as part of London Jewellery Week. This will give visitors to Treasure the chance to see the quality of jewellery that will be showcased across the UK from June 16th.

We also have lots of great retailers signed up now, taking our tour of exhibitions up to November. British Jewellery Week will launch at Furr & Company in Hungerford, and the fantastic Wave Jewellery will be holding two-week exhibitions in each of its five stores between July and November. Meanwhile, Catherine Jones in Cambridge and GC Hardwick in Burton-on-Trent are also on board.

For more information and regular updates on events taking place across the UK, keep an eye on www.britishjewelleryweek.co.uk.

Welcome to British Jewellery Week 2010!

Hello and welcome to the very first British Jewellery Week blog!

For those of you still unfamiliar with the concept of British Jewellery Week, let me enlighten you...

The first-ever British Jewellery Week will launch at independent retailer Furr & Co. in Hungerford, Berkshire, on 16th June, before a national tour will take the best in British design talent to exhibit at high-quality jewellery stores and boutiques across the country every two weeks for much of the rest of the year.

The aim of the event is to support and promote the best in new home-grown jewellery design - shouting about what makes us the best in the world - and so we have three fabulous ambassadors to lead the campaign: Tomasz Donocik, Lauren Adriana and Jasmine Alexander. You will be hearing more about each of these very shortly, so make sure you check back to the blog.

And if you are a retailer or designer interested in taking part in British Jewellery Week 2010, don't worry, there is still time. Simply visit our website and register interest or call 01249 656230.
